Kyu zamane ki enayat ko nakara tumne ?
De diya kyu meri chahat ko sahara tumne?

Be-iraade hee bhale mujhko nihara tumne
Mann ke es dhundale-se darpan ko bhuhara tumne

Dil ke her kone main khandher ki thi kamoshi
Soye jasbaath ko kyu pukara tumne?

Dard ko geet ke aanchal ka sahara deker
Chalchalaty huwe ashko ko sanwara tumhe

Jeene dethe mujhe darthi ka hee jariya banker
Kyu banaya tha mujhe aankhon ka tara tumne ?(nm)
