                          shauq ko jagaayaa  naa  thaa  jo  tum   the!
                          kyaa-kyaa paayaa   naa thaa  jo    tum  the!

                          dard  bhi muskurataa rahaa teri qurbat mein!
                          aur   ghum   aayaa  naa  thaa  jo  tum  the!

                          dushmani  ashqo.n  ki  ho chali aankho.n se!
                          kisi  ne   sataayaa  naa  thaa  jo  tum the!

                          mohabbat ,wafaa,dosti-kirdaar se lage mujhe!
                          kisi  ne  nibhaayaa  naa  thaa  jo  tum the!

                          ghoont  zahr ka her lamha peetaa rahaa waqt!
                          mujhe   pilaayaa   naa  thaa  jo  tum   the!

                          khanjar  bekaar  hotaa  rahaa  dushmano.n ka!
                          mujh per   chalaayaa   naa  thaa  jo tum the!

                          khawaab  dheere-dheere MARHOOM sone lage sab!
