आगोश में लहद की जब सो जाओगे,
कौन सा तकिया तुम लगाओगे.

कौन सी चादर ओड़ के सोओगे तुम,
कौन सा बिछौना तुम बिछाओगे.

सिर्फ तन्हाईओं से करोगे बातें,
कब्र की दीवारों से सर टकराओगे.

मौत से इतना डरते क्यों हो "बेताब",
तुम तो दरिया हो समंदर में उतर जाओगे.

Agosh mein lahad ki jab so jaaoge,
Koun sa takiya tum lagaaoge.

Koun si chadar od ke Soage tum ,
Koun sa bichhona tum bichhaoge.

Sirf tanhaiyon se karoge baaten,
Kabra ki deewaron se sar Takraoge.

Maut se itna kyon darte ho "Betaab",
Tum to dariya ho samander mein utar jaaoge.
