jo tabassum kho gayee thee  kahee  lout  aayee hai,
ek dost ke alfaazo,n se meri umeed lout  aayee hai,

band liya qafan ab chahe kitni bhi musibatt aa jaye,
chal pade hai be dhadak ruthi manjil lout aayee hai,

be rukhi ka alaam tha gum ki parchaiyo,n ke sath se,
jo rusawa hui thee saba fizaao,n main lout aayee hai,

be zauq zindagi ke chalte ye dil jo be jaan huaa tha,
aj na jane unke zajbaato,n se dhadkan lout  aayi hai,

ek kalam jaise laakho,n alfaazo,n  ko bitor leti hai,
vase mare khiyalo,n ki mitti yaadei,n lout aayee hai,

bujhe huye mashaalo ko mili  halki see  chingaari se,
andher ghar ke chiraago,n kee roshnee lout aayee hai,
