आझादी का जश्न मनाये,  ऐसा कोई  सवाब न मिला
अवाम ऐतबार करे , ऐसा कोई जवाब न मिला

छिपा सके मूफ़्लिसी, ऐसा कोई हिजाब न मिला
भूला सके जिंदगी, ऐसा कोई शराब न मिला

मांझी दे सके, ऐसा कोई हिसाब न मिला
सदमों की वजह, कोई नायाब न मिला

अंधेरों को चिर सके, ऐसा कोई आफ़ताब न मिला
दिल को सूकून मिले, ऐसा कोई माहताब न मिला

फ़िक्र हमारी करे, ऐसा कोई बेताब न मिला
दोस्त कह सके,   ऐसा कोई जनाब न मिला

किनारे लगा दे  "राज" को , ऐसा कोई  सैलाब न मिला
जो कब्र में ले जा सकू, ऐसा कोई गूलाब न मिला
