ये बेताबियाँ जाने क्या रंग दिखाएंगी.!
ज़िंदगी देंगी या ज़िंदगी ले जायेंगी.!!
बाँध कफ़न महबूब गली निकल पड़े.!
देखें कब तल्क तक़दीर रूठ पाएगी.!!
जो आग इधर लगी है उधर भी है.!
जाने ये आग क्या गुल खिलाएगी.!!
सुर्ख आँखें हाल-ए-दिल ब्यान करती.!
देखोगे जब-जब आईना शरमा जाओगे.!!
इस क़दर रात तस्स्वुर ना किया करो.!
अंजाने में तकिये से लिपट जाओगे.!!
'सागर'में नदी की माफ़िक़ समा जाओ.!
वक़्त रहते संभलो वरना झील कहलाओगे.!!
  कुछ सालों बाद:-
ज़िंदगी समझ शिद्दत से मुहब्बत की थी.!
क्या खबर थी गैर बाहों में सिमट जाओगे.!!

Ye betaabiyan jaane kya rang dikhaeingi.!
Zindgi deingi ya zindgi le jayeingi.!!
Baandh kafan mehboob gali nikal pade.!
Dekhein kab talk taqdeer ruth paayegi.!!
Jo aag idhar lagi hai udhar bhi hai.!
Jaane ye aag kya gul khilaayegi.!!
Surkh aankhein haal-e-dil byan karti.!
Dekhoge jab-jab aaina sharma jaaoge.!!
Is qdar raat tasawur na kiya karo.!
Anjane mein takiye se lipat jaaoge.!!
'Sagar'mein nadi ki mafiq sma jaao!
Waqt rahate sambhlo warna jheel kahlaaoge.!!
    Kuch Saalon Baad:-
Zindgi samajh shiddat se muhabbat ki thi.!
Kya khabar thi Gair Bahon mein Simat jaaoge.!!
