बड़ा अरमान था मुझको की मै तुम पर ग़ज़ल लिख दू ।
खुली जुल्फे घटा कह दू गुलाबी लव कवल लिख दू ॥
बिठा लू सामने अपने करुँ कुछ गुफ्तगुं दिल की ।
बुला लू चांदनी रोशन तुम्हे जीनत महल लिख दू ॥
मगर तुम तो समंदर हो ग़ज़ल बनती बिगड़ती है ।
अब तुम पर क्या ग़ज़ल कह दू अब तुम पर क्या ग़ज़ल लिख दू ॥
