Accepting the challenge thrown by the film Director Ram Gopal Varma,
Who announced a reward of Rs 5.00 lacs for those who watched his
horror film "Phoonk" alone in a theater, a youth from Kadagu
accepted the challenge and pocketed the reward..

On Tuesday a 20 year old Areyada Pavin, from Bangalore, said that
he accepted Varma's challenge, not for money, but to deliver a
message to the people that they should not believe in superstition.

Areyada Pavin said he took up the challenge and bought all the
227 tickets for the night show at INOX theatre in the city by
paying Rs.47,500. The movie released last week and five film-hungry
fans, who accepted the challenge, had 'bolted' from the theatre,
a spokesman of the film distributors said. Areyada Pavin said " I
deliberately chose night show to remove superstituion from the minds of
people...

I saw the movie....well I did nt find it scary at all !!! A bit dissapointment...cause I love horror !!!

Infact, "Bhoot" was more scary than this....its not scary at all.....!

Indian films are never scary & i don't think they cud ever succeed like hollywood or japanese films.

Have u ever watched japanese horror movies Celmira?? They r the scariest!!

Hey techie, I watched Thai movie "Shutter" (Later hollywood movie "Shutter came, a remake). It was really scary...I have watched few Japanese movies...yes, compared to them, Indian horror is a laugh Usual Smile

Only few hollywood movies are really scary, others are just OK, full of blood.

saw some emotional touches only after the interval, otherwise all the cinematography was a child's play. ramu has no compassion even for his own creations, he just thinks like "fill the reel and edit", yuk.
