Yeh pedon ke pattein,
Madhyami dhoop me bhi hare the kabhi !!
Yeh pedon ke pattein,
Thandi hawaon ki ghod me khele the kabhi !!

Suraj ki kiranon se,
Yeh bhi chamakte the kabhi !!
Baaris ki boondon se,
Yeh bhi lipatte the kabhi !!

Jugnuon ke ujaale se,
Yeh bhi roushan the kabhi !!
Bhouron ke geeton ke,
Inpar bhi mousam the kabhi !!

Yeh pedon ke pattein,
In pedon me in hawaon me zindagi gholte the kabhi !!
Yeh pedon ke pattein,
Suraj se humare liye har pal zindagi mangte the kabhi !!

Aaj yeh to pare hain,
Dhool me jare hain !!
Ab yeh na hare hain,
Mar kar bhi dare hain !!

Pyaar me yeh apna sab kuchh loota kar,
Hawaon mein apni saanson ka kad-kad ghula kar !!
Dekho yahan kaise tadpe jhare hain,
Kal tak Jag ko zindagi diye aaj Jag se hi pare hain !!

Haan yeh pedon ke pattein madhyami dhoop me bhi hare the kabhi !!
