हंसी ख़ुशी भी वक़्त बिताया जा सकता है
बेगाने  को अपना बनाया जा सकता है

मुश्किल है दो- बारा किसी पर यकीन करना
वैसे धोखा कई बार खाया जा सकता है

नज़रों से दुनियां की बचाया जा सकता है
दोस्त तुम्हें दिल में छिपाया जा सकता है

लग जाती है इक उम्र बस इज़्ज़त कमाने में
धन तो चोरी से कमाया जा सकता है

रहता नहीं सूरज तो शब-ओ-रोज़ यहाँ
अँधेरा दीये से मिटाया जा सकता है

तूफां की तो बात ही क्या लहरों से भी
कश्ती को जब चाहे डुबाया जा सकता है

खामोशियों को मेरी तू हलके में ना ले
आसमान सर पे भी उठाया जा सकता है
