ILTJAH KARTAA HOON

Yeh dil to roz taraptaa hai ke iltjah kartaa hoon,
      Kahan se laaun zuban ars ke madah kartaa hoon!

Maaloom hai ke jo waedon kaa hashar hotaa hai,
        Khuda ko beach naa laao yeh iltjah kartaa hoon!

Koi to mohabbat ke do.chaar haraf hee bol do,
      Jahan mein akelaa naa chorho iltjah kartaa hoon!

Kharhaa hoon dar pe ke yeh duaen detaa hoon,
        Khuda-e-husn hukam deejiye iltjah kartaa hoon!

Shab-e-visaal barhi mushkilon se hee aatee hai,
         Khataa muaaf ho gar hai koi iltjah kartaa hoon!

Unhin se maangtaa hoon aaj husn kee kheraat bhi,
    Khuda.raa gadahgar naa thaa par ajj bantaa hoon!

Nahin jaantaa abb aur kyaa kyaa kahe ‘MohanN’,
      Jo haath naa uthey duaa ko woh aaj kartaa hoon!

Ars = wife; aurat; madah = arz; inbetween;
Khuda-e-hush = godly beauty;
Shab-e-visaal = suhaag raat; gadagar = beggar;
