Ganga kinare baithe the,
Atma manthan me lage the,
Zindegi me kya khoye kya paye,
Sayad usika hisab kar rahe the,
Ganga kinare baithe the,

Umr k aakhri padaw par the,
Galon me dadhi bojhal tha,
Aankhe bhi ojhal thi,
Chup chap baith kar,
Sayad Woh yadon ko samet rahe the,
Ganga kinare baithe the,
Aur atma manthan me lage the...

Mausa jee !
Nipat akele the,
Mausi k Bina Woh ghayal the,
Bite bagawat se sayad naraz the,
Par Woh fariyaad kare bhi to kis se,
Unko jo luta sayad sab apne hi the,
Ganga kinare baith kar,
Bas Woh atma manthan me lage the..

Mausa jee!
Chhup chhup ke ro rahe the,
Zindegi se sawal Woh puchh rahe the,
" kya kasar rah gayi" soch rahe the,
Halaton ke sabab jab Maine puchha,
Anjaan ho kar bhi mujhe Dua diye the ,
Ganga kinare ab hum dono bathe the,
Dono apni atma sudhan me lage the..
