Subah wo sare khwab udheden,
jinko sari raat bunen ham.
Tute apne dil ke tukde,
khud hi apne-aap chune ham.

Roz basayen shahar naya ek,
tahas-nahas kar de fir usko,
kaise kaise sapne dekhen,
aur khud se hi roz laden ham.

Aise uljhe ham duniyan main,
ke sanse aana mushkil hai,
sukh se jine ki khatir hi,
is jivan main roz maren ham.

Dur bahut hai manzil apni,
kanton bhari dagar hai iski,
nange paon liye baithe hain,
aur chalne ki baat karen ham.

Din bhar idhar udhar pedon par,
karen parindon se baaten,
raat raat bhar jaag jaag kar,
diwaron se baat sunen ham.
