kyu shaam ko tanhaai ka mai naam doon
jab mehfil me kisi ko bulayaa hee nahee

kyu khamosh si zindagi ko bezubaan kahoon
labon se jab koi geet kabhi gaaya hee nahee

kyu is jahaan ko apna ashiyaan kahoon
anjaano ko kabhi jab apnaya hee nahee

kyu khaali panno ko ilzaam doon
khud khwaab sajaana jab aaya hee nahee
