"The Life of a Poet" by Amit

Some poets write the poetry of life,
some about the almighty God above.
Some write about pain and strife,
some about the feeling of being in love.

The topics are so many to choose from,
from explicit, to the nature, our mother.
Be it anything you choose to write on,
the lines should be absorbed into each other.

Sometimes the poets can't express,
what they actually want to say.
Sometimes it's the magic of mighty pen,
that the words find their own way.

Sometimes the lines have no rhyme,
they are just words put together.
Sometimes the lines hold the beauty,
and they're able to write a good rhymer.

Line breaks might hurt a lil' bit,
but this is how each verse must be.
When the next line picks some force,
we forget the last one easily.

Everyone can't write every type of poems,
as I write mostly about being in love.
Coz' the inspiration for my poems,
is a sweet lil' girl sent from above.

The only thing is to keep writing,
free verse or in rhyme it may look.
Love to write and wield your pen,
coz' a poet lives in the pages of a book.
