Koi kuchh kehta hai, koi kuchh kehta hai,
Zindagi ka silsila, yun hi chalta rehta hai.

Subah raaste mein mila ek dost,
Kahne laga itne mayus kyun ho?
Dekho kitna suhana mausam hai,
Phir tum itne udaas kyun ho?

Kaali ghataye.n hai chhayee hui,
Rim-Zhim barish bhi ho rahi hai,
Bache chalate.n hain kagaz ki kashtiyan,
Parinde bhi khud ko dho rahe.n hai.n
Naach rahe.n hai.n mor,koyal bhi ga rahi hai,
Aur jawaan jodeh,madhosh ho rahe.n hai.n

Is nazariye se to, mayus nahi hona chahiye mujhko,
Hasna,gaana chahiye, udas nahi hona chahiye mujhko.

Magar kuch door jakar ek aur dost aa mila,
Bola ki kitna gamgin hai yeh samma,
Roshni kahin nahi, hai har taraf andhera.
Har cheez hai simati hui, phool bhi band pade hain,
Berhami se is mausam ki, ped bhi jhuke pade hain.

Woh garib mazdoor apna chulha bhi nahi jala sakta,
Chhat nahi sar par uske, woh khaana nahi paka sakta.

Dekhatin hain 'Raji' ki ankhen sab,
Yeh dil sab sunta rehta hai,
Koi kuchh kehta hai, koi kuchh kehta hai,
Zindagi ka silsila, yun hi chalta rehta hai.
