जिदगी के कुछ सवाल आये,
सच कहूँ हर सवाल के खुद में  जवाब आये,
हम पहले खुद खवाब में जिया करते थे,
 हकीकत में उतरे हर के लिए हम खवाब आये,
गुलाब की जुस्तुजु  कम हो गयी,
जब ये शायरी-ए-अलफाज आफताब आये,
मदहोशी के जुनुन में उतरे,
हम बनकर शायरी-ए-शबाब आये,
महफील से हम यूँ ही गुजरे थे,
अपनो ने कहा लो "जनाब" आये,
थम भी गया रुक भी गया"पवन",
पर आये जब भी एक झोखे के साथ,
आये तो सिर्फ़ लाजावाब आये
