Zindagi yaar bin adhuri hai
Fasle-gul aur ye aseeri hai

Bekarari kahi na jaa.n le le
Kaisi taqdeer, kaisi dhuri hai

Daulat-e-dil looti gayi jab se
Mai hu, tanhayi haur fakiri hai

Ab shab-o-roj guzarte hai yu
Yaad teri hai, baat teri hai

Pooch dilse kabhi akele main
Kisliye pyar ye zaruri hai

Yaar mera mujhe tu de na saka
Ye Khuda ye bhi kya dilleri hai

Haal na poocho tum "Roja" ka
Her khushi ne nigaah feri hai


Fasle-gul = bahaar ka mausam (vasant ritu)
Aseeri = kaid
daulat-e-dil = hridayrupi dhan
shab-o-roj = raat aur din
Dileri = udarta, himmat[/b]
