Din ugaa leke kuch umeedein nayi, kuch armaan naye
Mera wasta is jag ke har ashiyane se hai

Chnd lamhon mei fanna ho jati hai zindagi
Zindagi ke mayene har roz nayi tasveer banane se hai

Deti hain thokarein hi ujala andheri raaton mai
Shama ka kaam honsale ki lau jalane se hai

Hota hai koi gareeb, koi daulat se sahukaar hota hai
Khushboo ka kaam to gulon ki tarah chaman mehkane se hai

Milti nahi har insaan ko rone ki fursat is mahfil mai
Apni izzat to is jahan mai dusron ko hasane se hai
