Karm and Dharm are not mutually exclusive terms...

In fact, Karm and its fruits are dependent on Dharm...

Dharm doesn't mean a religion or a sect...

Dharm means following one's duties.....e.g. the duty of young men and women is to take care of the elders, the duty of married man (woman) is not to look at other women (men) with lustful eyes, the duty of men is to give due respect to women, the duty of women is not to dress in a manner so as to incite passion in men, the duty of the common man is to speak the truth and lead a truthful life. the duty of parents is to take proper care of their children and not to leave them at the mercy of house-maids, the duty of a friend is to help his friend in times of need...

If Dharm is followed properly...the resulting Karm becomes good and the subject gets full rewards at the proper time...

If Dharm is not followed properly i.e. the subject fails to do his/her duty...the resulting Karm becomes bad and the subject gets sufferings and pain at the appointed time...

It is very simple...we receive what we give... :!:

Why is a red rose red :?:
Because it reflects the red color out of the various colors of the white sunlight falling on it and thereby becomes red...
The whole world is like that...what we are reaping is what we have sown...getting something for which we haven't made any effor is against the law of nature...

Kau na kou sukh dukh kar data, Nij krit karm bhog sab brhata
Karm pradhan visv rachi rakha, Jo jas karhin so tas ful chakha
(Ramcharitmanas, Ayodhyasopan)

Even though the corrupt, insensitive, cruel, murderers, criminals etc. seem to enjoy the best of the pleasures of the world...the truth is that they are only getting the fruits of their past good Karmas...when their good Karmas get exhausted, then their present bad Karmas will certainly put them in a deep state of misery and sufferings for a long, long time...

Hence, the wise should not doubt the law of Karm...
Upholding the Dharm or performance of one's duties is certainly difficult but it results in eternal bliss later...

(The problem now a days is everbody is interested in getting his/her rights and nobody wants to follow the duties...)

Duniya ajab bazaar hay, kuch jins(vastu) yahan ki saath le
neki ka badla nek hay, bad se badi ki baat le
Kaatan kisi ko mat laga, go misse-gul(pushp ki tarah) fula hay tu
veh tere hak mein teer hay, kis baat bar jhula hay tu

shokhi sharafat makro-fun(dhokha) sabka basekha(ghar) hain yahan
jo jo dikhaya aur ko, veh khud bhi dekha hain yahan
khoti khari jo kuch kahi, tiska parekha(parakhna) hain yahan
jau jau par tulta hay mol, til til ka lekha hain yahan

tu aur ki tareef kar, tujhko sanakhvani(tareef) mile
kar mushkil aasaan auro ki, tujhko bhi aasani mile
tu aur ko mehmaan kar, tujhko bhi mehmaani mile
roti khila roti mile, paani pila paani mile

gaflat ki yeh jagah nahi, tu sahibe-edrak(jaldi samajhne wala) reh
dilshaad(prasannchit) rakh dilshaad reh, gamnaak rakh gamnaak reh
apne nafe ke vaaste, mat aur ka nuksaan kar
tera bhi nuksaan hovega, es baat bar tu dhyan kar

jo gul khilave aur ka uska he gul khilta bhi hay
jo aur ka keele hay muh, uska he muh kilta bhi hay
jo aur ka cheele jigar, uska jigar chilta bhi hay
jo aur ko deve kapat, usko kapat milta bhi hay

yahan jeher de to jeher le, shakkar mein shakkar dekh le
neko ko neki ka maza, muzi(satanewala) ko takkar dekh le
moti diye moti mile, pathar mein pathar dekh le
gar tujhko yeh baavar(vishvas) nahin, to tu bhi karke dekh le

jo chahe le chal is ghari, sab jins yahan teyar hay
aaraam mein aaraam hay, aazaar mein aazaar(dukh) hay
duniya na jaan isko miyaan, darya ki yeh majhdhaar hay
auroon ka bera paar kar, tera bhi bera paar hay

ve rishtain jo dukh dete hain  (same here, u hav got company)
purvjanam ke lendaar hain
unko unka rirn lene do
pravaadheen(shikayat rahit) jeevan behne do
samay dhara mein sab beet hay jata
jo aaj bura kal lagta pyara
sada samaan nahin kuch rehta
kaal chakra yun chalta rehta
es sukh-dukh rupi chakravyuh se, jo shighr bahar aano chaho
niz swaroop ko jaankar tum, janam-maran se mukti pao

Jab koi upaye samajh na aaye, tab ek he upaye hay...............Gurorupay...........go and find a Brahmgyani Guru..............

Go to Satsang.......

Its only in Satsang that you can find answers to all yr queries...........but don't expect instant results................you have to be patient for a long long time...........but what you will get instantly is peace of mind......

And if you cannot find a Guru, which is impossible unless u r not willing...........surrender totally at the feet of the Lord.........don't ask any questions, just accept everything as Divine Will........

Ab saump diya is jeevan ka sab bhar tumhare hathon mein
Ab jeet tumhare haathon mein aur haar tumhare hathon mein
