Chup hum khade rahe, aankhon se aansu girte rahe,
Jab dekha neeche toh khoon ke katere, mitti mein milte rahe,

Soch nahi paye hum ki do lamho mein kya ho gaya,
Mutthi mein tha jahaan, abhi jaane kaha kho gaya,

Thame hue kadum phir uth na paye aaj tak,
Tootte rahe hum khade wahi subah se raat tak,

Phir raat bhi murjhai aur baadal bhi pada ro,
Lekin wo bewafa yaar mera, chain se raha tha so,

Ek arsa beeta uss baat ko lekin abh tak na samajh paaya hu,
Kya galti thi meri, es sawal ka jawab nahi dhoond paaya hu...
