Shamshaan ka ye aalam bhi dekh te rahe,
Apne armaano ko lut te dekh te rahe,

Dil se behte khoon mein tezaab ko berdaast kiya,
Dil ke aashiyane ko tujhe jala ta dekh berdaast kiya,

Meri mohabbat ki umeed ka housla toh dekho,
Teri choukhat pe rahi meri nazar umr bhar dekho,

Himmat meri ke nilaam khud ko kiya,
Thi tum bewafa lekin badnaam khud ko kiya,

Hu mitti ke niche aur aankhein bhi hai band,
Lekin teri surat abh bhi dikh rahi mand-mand…….
