हमने की थी जो बातें कभी |
वो साँसों की ज़ंजीर बन गयी ||

उनसे कह दी दिल की सारी दास्ताँ |
फिर भी कुछ बातें अधूरी रह गयी ||

खायी थी कसमें जीने मरने की |
उन्हे चाह है सिर्फ मेरे मरने की ||

एक पल में बना डाला रक़ीब उसने |
संग गुज़रा हर पल भूला डाला उसने ||

Humne ki thi jo baatein kabhi.
Woh saanson ki zanjeer ban gayi.

Unse keh di dil ki saari dastaan.
Phir bhi kuch baatein adhoori reh gayi.

Khaayi thi kasmein jeene marne ki.
Unhe to ab chah hai mere marne ki.

Ek pal mein bana daala 'Raqeeb' usne.
Sang guzra har pal bhula daala usne.
