Aap jo saath nahi humare zindagi ajnabi si lagti hai,
Dil ki har aarzu jaise adhuri si raheti hai.
 
Jab bhi tadpati hai yaade aapki na jaane kaha khoyi raheti hai,
Dil mai ek baicheni si uthti raheti hai.
 
Samunder ke kinare baithkar na jaane kya sochti raheti hai,
Dil ki har dhadkan kyo begani si lagne lagti hai.
 
Mat puchh haal shikha ka e sangdil sanam,
Dil ki har tamanna kyo aaj soyi huyi lagti hai.
