Din dhalta raha sanse chalti rahi,
Ek tera naam lekar mai bhi shaam si dhalti rahi,

Jis kadar tez dhup se barf paani banti rahi,
Teri yadoon me tadap kar mai bhi pighalti rahi,

Thi khwaahish tu phir mujhe hasaye,ek baar to laut aye,
Us khwaashish ko seene me ab tak dafan karti rahi,

Jis tarah mitti ki pyaas bujhaye ek boond baarish ki,
Isi aas me ab tak mai teri ahat ko sunti rahi,

Mile hazaro musafir jo sath de jate kisi mod par,
Par ek tere hi asre me mai ab tak akeli chalti rahi!
