Kaash wo pal meri zindagi mein aaya na hota
Tum mujhse na milti, na tumse mein mila hota
Dono hi ek dooje ke paas aaye hote - aur
Judaii ke lamho mein na tum roti na mein rota
   Tumne sah liya hoga, hamse ye dard saha nahi jaata
   pal pal kheench le jaati hain, yaadein purani yadon ke paas
   barish ki bheegi chhat par ghanton ki huyee wo saari baat
   ho sakta to de deta tumko guzre oon saare palon ka tohfa
   Na tum roti, na mein rota
