O priye, tumhaare hone se hi hum hum the,
tab tak tumhe hum bas tumhare lagte the,
tum hi thi jo humein humse milaati thi,
warna hum jo the wo kabhi bhi na lagte the,

aaj tumne humse ye baat jaane q kahi,
"jab tak tum mere the aise na lagte the,
aaj jaane kyun tum tum nahi lagte,
jab tak tum mere the, mere lagte the",

tumhaare hone se hi haseen thi apni duniya,
saare nazaarein humein haseen lagte the,
aaj wo saare manzar banjar lagte hain,
kal tak jo baag-e-bahaar lagte the,

kya tumne in sukhe phoolon se poochha,
kaise ye kal tak khile gulaab lagte the?
na kaha kuch unse tumne, par bas humse kaha,
"jab tak tum mere the bas mere lagte the",

aaj wo saare khat bas kaagaz lagte hain,
kal tak jo humein tumhaare ehsaas lagte the,
aaj tumhaari har wo nishaani khaamosh lagti hai,
kal tak jo mujhe tumhaare aawaaz lagte the,

na poocha tumne ek baar bhi apne dil se ki kyun,
jab tak hum tumhaare the bas tumhaare lagte the,
bas keh diya, "aaj jaane kyun tum tum nahi lagte,
