Tumhe kya pata teri yaad mein kitna roya hai dil,
hum to tanha the magar har or saji thi mehfil.

Jaane kaise humne ye din aur raat guzari hai sanam,
ismein teri yaadon ke the haseen woh pal bhi shamil.

Koi nagma chhed do ke dil ko kuchh suqoon mile,
yun khamosh rehkar tanhai se kya hoga aapko haasil.

Hamesha doston se milte ho kabhie raqeebon se bhi milo,
dil mein ho ehsaas to yeh mulaqaat nahin mushkil.

Bahut raaton baad woh shaks ghar ko laut aaya hai,
jis shaks ko humne apna maana wohi hai hamara qaatil.
