Poocha gaya humse ke yaad unki aati hai ya nahi
Haan ya na kehne-se behtar kuch lafz kyu nahi

Kya suna hai tumne unki awaaz – lehrati khushbodaar ghazal ki tarah?
Kya kara hai tumne unka deedar – rab ke haath se banaya hua ye kamaal?
Kya beyte ho unke paas – ye zaleel zindagi hojati hai khushbudaar
Kya deekha hai unki ankhoon mein – zameen aur aasman ke fasley se gehri?

Nahi?
Ab phir pooch mujse ke yaad aati hai ya nahi...
