mujhe yaad hai mai raat bhar na soya tha us din...
na milne wali chiz ke milne ki dua kar ke mai roya tha us din...

subah uthna nahi chahta tha mai din ka surj dekhne ke liye...
khud se khud ko maine khoya tha us din...

band bajo se saji barat uske dar pe jashan mana rahi thi...
idhar meri zindagi me mano qyamat c aarahi thi...

na kisi ko bta paya na dil ke dard ko mai halka tha kar saka...
khud apne hatho se uske khato ko jalaya tha us din...

royi wo bhi hogi mujhe yaad kar ke ye bhi bakhubi janta tha...
magar bewafa lafaz bar bar uske liye mere labo pe aaya tha us din...

nayi duniya bsayegi wo mujhko ab bhul jayegi...
yahi soch kar khud ko jeete jee jalaya tha us din...

na jane kitne dino tak duniya se khoya raha tha mai...
neend aati nahi thi fir bhi soya raha tha mai...

mohabbat ki aisi saza milegi kabhi socha na tha...
rooh jo ban ke jism me rahti thi chhod jayegi ye bhrosa na tha...

pyar aur mohabbat se bharosa bhi uth gya tha uske bin...
apne andar ke ashiq ko apne hatho se dafnaya tha us din...

khud ko barbad kar ke khud ka hi tamasha bnaya tha us din.....
