Aj aya hun fir is parvat par, jahan pehle bhi kabhi aya tha,
Koi bahut purani baat nahi, magar tab zindagi par khushiyon ka saya tha.

Yeh neeli jheel kitni khoobsurat thi,Isme pedon aur parvaton ki parchayee thi,
Ghume.n the hum ek purani si kashti mein, aur usne tasvir bhi khichwayee thi.

Bazar mein kitni raunak thi, kharidi thi ek paushak usne,
Sadak par chalte-chalte usne, ice cream bhi khayee thi.

Kitani khush thi wo apani sahaliyon ke saath, dod kar chad jati thi parvat jhat se,
Hasti thi,khilkhilati thi, koi fikr nahi thi us pal mein.

Thodi si udas bhi thi wo, ki main usko chhod jaunga,
Par fir yeh tasali bhi thi, ki jald hi wapas aaunga.

Wahi jheel,wahi parvat hai, wahi ped, wahi parchayee hai,
Magar lagte kitne be-mani hai.n,
Kishtiyan bhari hain logo.n se,
Jheel fir bhi kitni veerani hai.

Bazar mein bhid hai kitni,Log khridtein hai.n paushake.n
Aur khatein hai.n ice cream,
Magar mujhe khuch nazar nahi aata,
Betha hun akela is bhid mein, dekhta hun sab,
Par kuch samajh nahi aata.

Itani chehal-pehal mein yeh veerani kyunkar hai?,
Chali gayee wo chhod kar yeh parvat, yeh jheel, yeh bazar,
Shayad isika yeh asar hai.

Yeh 'Raji' janta hai ki ab wo laut kar nahi ayegi,
Aunga jab bhi is parvat par, isi treh uski yaad ayegi.
