betha hua aj me fir kinare pe
samundar ko apni dastan sunata hu mein
lehro ki mehfil ayi hai sath dene mere
use yaad kar tanhaiya mitata hu mein

kayi lamhe usse jude hai kuch aise
un lamho se dil ko lubhata hu mein
na ho sake bayan uske ehsaas ka
fir bhi aaj sabko sunata hu mein

uske hatho ka yu thamna
aur fir ungliyo ka yu baat karna
sath mangti hai aaj bhi tera
in lakeero pe yehi padta hu mein
betha hua aj me fir kinare pe...

uske baalo ka  mujhe dekh sawarna
fir labo se muskura kar sharmana
gulabi lab, meethi uski zubaan
sochke uska chehra khil jata hu mein
betha hua aj me fir kinare pe...

yu roz subah usko yaad karna
fir uski gali me uska intezaar karna
manzil to aaj bhi wahi hai, miljaye woh
kuch aisa rasta aaj bhi dhundta hu mein

betha hua aj me fir kinare pe
samundar ko apni dastan sunata hu mein
