Ek tamanna hai fakat mujh pe meharbaan raho,
tum kisi aur ko dekho to bura lagta hai

Meri chahat ka takaza hai mere sath raho,
gair ka haath jo thamo to bura lagta hai

Aarzu hai tere har roop ko her pal dekhun,
tum mere paas se uth jao to bura lagta hai

Roz-e-shab aaj bhi parwah hai tumhari mujh ko,
tum kisi aur ko socho to bura lagta hai

yeh meri rooh tarasti hai tumhari khushbu ko,
tum kahin aur ja ke mehko to bura lagta hai
