jo shakhs tere yaad se bahar na aa sake
Wo dil se tere yaad ko kion ker bhula sake?

Aye ramz e kainat tere justujo main ham
doore hazaar laakh per tujh ko na pa sake

jab dil he us ke naam ka taweez ho gaya
phir kon us ke naam ko dil se mita sake!

Saaqi sharaab dene main tujh ko he aar kia?
Itni tu de ke pi ke qadam larkhara sake

jo ishq ki hudood se aage nikal gae
Wo phir hudood e ishq main wapas na aa sake

table pe thaap taiz bohut he samay ki aaj
ham ko gila nahin he ke gaana na ga sake!

kuch loog raahe ishq pe nikla the subh ko
Ab shaam ho chali he per waapas na aasake!
