hum to aaj bhi likhtey hain khat naam apke dilbar
             jawaab magar ab apka ab to koi aata hi nahin ,,,,

shayad yeh aadat si ho gayee hai khud ko behlaane ki
             aayenge milne yeh paighaam koi apka aata hi nahin ,,,,

rooth gaye hain to yeh apki khataa nahin hai ae dil
             shayad mananna hi humko unhein aata hi nahin ,,,,

pal pal martey hain yeh kaise bataayein apse bicharh kar
             saanson se humko ab jeena magar aata hi nahin ,,,,

main karta nahin badnaam apko mehfil mein yeh samjh lijiye 
             labhon pe aur koi naam mere aata hi nahin ,,,,

aaoge khawaab mein hi bandh rakhta hoon aankhein apni
             chaain se apki tarah humko to sonaa aata hi nahin ,,,,

hum to aaj bhi likhtey hain khat naam apke dilbar
             jawaab magar ab apka ab to koi aata hi nahin ,,,,
