kaise beeti wo kal ki raat kya kahiye,
kisi chand se hui jo mulaqat kya kahiye...

 har saans kaliyon ki khushbu se saji thi,
hontho se mile honth, haatho me haath kya kahiye..

lab khamosh, honth bebas, fir b ghazale thi,
ankho se ho rahi thi baat kya kahiye...

 pighle pighle se honth, dehke dehke badan,
mehke mehke jazbaat, behke behke halaat, kya kahiye... 
                                       
yu to badal, chandni, sitare, paas rehte hai,
 par unke saath apka saath kya kahiye...
