zindagi se aaj meri honi baat hai  ,,
                  mere dilbar se aaj meri mulaaqaat hai ,,

chhupe hain jo kab se mere dil mein ,,
                  armaano ki aaj unse izhaaraat hai ,,

palkien bichaa kar rakhi hain raahon mein ,,
                  dadhkano par likhkar naam unko deni saughat hai

beet gaye din jo guzarte they andhere mein
                  ab to meri raushan har raat hai

zindagi se aaj meri honi baat hai ,,
                 mere dilbar se aaj meri mulaaqaat hai ,,
