Tere chahre ke siwa mujhe yaad aur kuch na ho
In zahenat-o-zahen ka mujhe aur kya karna.

Teri khushi ke siwa aur koi armaan na ho
In saz-o-saman ka mujhe kya karna.

Ek pal dede teri deedar ka bas
Ab nazar-o-nazaron ka mujhe kya karna.

Ashiq samjho ya pagal koi
Duniya ke namon ka mujhe kya karna.

Thodi si jagah mil jaye tere dil me bas
Saltanat-o-makano ka mujhe kya karna.

Tu ek baar mushkura de, sab kuch luta doon main
In asman-o-taron ka mujhe kya karna.
