Yeh gora badan, yeh lal chunar,
Barf mein jaise lagi agan.

Dekhun tujhko to sakun sa mile,
Chu lun agar, bijali si lage,
Phir chhod na paun main tujhko,
Jab tak ki meri saans chale.

Kam koi kar pata nahi,
kho jata hun tere taswur mein,
Is treh se bas gaye ho tum,
Ab to mere tan-man mein.

Jis din tum mujhse milo nahi,
Woh din kuch adhura  sa lage,
Sukha reh jaye ped koi,
Jaise barsat ke mausam mein.

Milan yeh husa-o-jawani ka,
Kar deta hai jina mushkil.
Yeh gora badan, yeh lal chunar,
Barf mein jaise lagi agan.
