A breath…

You made the ears to the pages of my heart
while I fixed the shade of your look,
it was then that I understood:
it would have been the last time

" Perhaps it is better like this”
a sentence of circumstance
that it is not suitable
to your manner of speaking
I know what you try to hide
I know that it is not what you want

Castles of papers that collapse
to the whistling wind
and that hisses through the cracks
of my weeping eyes
The smoke of a cigarette to break
the dense attenuate air of tears
and distant thoughts

Yes! It was yesterday that
I knew how to take a breath…
