Baat dil ki nigaho se kehte rahe,
Hum tere gum khamosi se sehte rahe,
Aansuon ka samundar tha takdir mein,
Dubte, tairte aur bahte rahe,
Apne dil mein to tune basaya nahi,
Tere kadmo mein deewane rehte rahe,
Hum the, tanhai thi aur tha aaina,
Khud se hi hum dastaan apni kehte rahe,
Kya hua tha hame, jaane kya baat thi ?
Ask aankhon se jaane kyun bahete rahe.

Kyu hai humse khafa ya to wo jaane ya rab,
Agar nafrat hi thi tere dil mein hamare liye,
To kya tha aankhon ko jhukaane ka matlab,
Tumhe vidaa karne ko hum na honge lekin,
Aansu zaroor bahenge teri doli uthegi jab,
Tumhaare aangan mein ronak hogi chaaro aur,
Kyunki chamkenge us chaand sitaare sab,
Na hame aap mile na mili hame khushiyaan,
Marte dum tak ek hansi ko tarse hamare lab ...
