jisne kabhi chore na apne kadmo ke nishaan,
                           lagta hai ye wohi hai,

 
aaj kon aankho main samaye hai,
                jo ye aansu bahar aaye hai,
                               lagta hai ye wohi hai,


jo ro padta tha kisi da dard dekhkar,
                  aaj fir kisi ke rone ki aawaaz aayi,
                                lagta hai ye wohi hai,



aaj ye kiski parchayi tanha hai,
                        jaise chaand taro may tanha hai,
                                 lagta hai ye wohi hai,



jitni gehryi samunder ki hai,
                       koi mare dil main bhi gehra ehsaas bana gaya,
                                       lagta hai ye wohi hai,


kisine pucha kin sawaalo ka jawaab dhoon rahi ho,
                         safed libaas may jo aaj lipta pada hai [jeet],
                                          lagta hai ye wohi jawaab hai,




parde laga kar ro leti hu,
                        mehfil main jab bhi hotho par muskaan aati hai,
                                               lagta hai ye wohi hai
