Aj socha hai ki tumse dil ki wo baat kahun,
Jo hai tute hue is dil ke, haalat kahun.

Kitne saare kisse hain, kuchh adhure se,
Samajh nahi aata kaun sa, afsana-e-shuruat kahun.

Main nahi samajh saka, tum samajh lo shayad,
Kaun hai aur jis se apne yeh, zajbat kahun.

Suna hai jante ho tum, harek dil ki baat,
Kaya zaruri hai ki main dil ki, harek baat kahun.

Koi umeed nahi, koi rah nazar nahi aati,
Kiyun hai aise'raji', kisse yeh sawalt kahun.
