maanaa kuchh bhee n darmiyaaN lekin
kuchh n kuchh kehne ko rahaa tum se


is se achchhe to door door hee the
saath ho kar rahe judaa tum se


behisee* par tumhaaree beparwaah
hum ne seekhee hai ye adaa tum se


dekh lete to yooN n hotaa buraa
haal dekhaa n jo gayaa tum se


hum ne qaul-e-fanaa* uthaayaa hai
aur paayaa hai hauslaa tum se


thee naseem-e-shab-e-firaaq* udaas
aur baad-e-sabaa* khafaa tum se


bas naheeN saamne tumhaare par
hum ne arz-e-wafaa kiya tum se


jab n khud kee hee kuchh khabar hum ko
kya karenNge koyee gilaa tum se


tark* kar ke chale gaye sab kuchh
kuchh magar chhoot bhi gayaa tum se


thi tawakko* n bandagee meiN koyee
aur paanaa thaa kyaa silaa tum se


haay aane lagaa adoo* pe rehem
milne ban than ke wo gayaa tum se


ab n utreNgeeN rashk kartee haiN
urvashee aur menkaa tum se


kyaa kahaa “zarraa” ne ke ho naaraaz
jo naheeN kehta aaeenaa tum se
