Watch a rose see how it wilts
when no water is given
watch the color fade from its pedals
as it slowly stops living.

You've got to give a heart love
to make it want to go on
you've got to give a heart music
to be able to play love's song.

My heart is silent
no songs nor music plays
it feels lost,cold and lonely
and has felt this for days.

To have a heart that's so in love
with someone they thought loved them too
and then find out that they were wrong
the love they loved wasn't true.

The heart is strong but also weak
and its not always right
it can take you places that you've never been
like mine took me that night.

I fell for you like a child looking
through the window of a candy shop
our love went on for years
then suddenly came to a stop.

I feel the strain running hot between us
it's as if we've lost contact
I wish to re-wind the time
and be able to go all the way back.

To that night when we first met
when we opened up our hearts
I wish to go back to that time...
that time where it all starts.

Where does  broken hearts go
when the pieces don't fit anymore
they're thrown behind a long ago
forgotten window-less door.

A door that's been since forgotten
by the person that once loved your heart
I feel that I've been forgotten by you
tossed out kicked aside and torn apart.
