I can’t let you go, you’r stuck in my heart
I’ll follow you, where ever you want me
You were always there, from the very start
When I’m with you, I can finally see
As I sleep a peaceful dream, I think of you.
I won’t shed my tears, for I am always smiling
The love we created, is a thing couples do.
For every kiss, I feel like I’m flying
Whenever I see you, I feel so shy.
But these feelings I have, feels so right.
I thank my lords, high in the sky
Happy to hear your voice, once a night.

    Take Your Gun
Man, take your gun: and put to shame
earthquake and plague, the acts of God.
You maim the crazy and the lame.

Terror is their palsy, the knees
of men buckle for fear of man.
You are the God whom frenzy pleases.

You are the gas-man, and the flier
who drops his bomb; the man in tanks.
You wire mines and fear the fire.

And dig the hollow street with trenches
the gas-main and the sewer cross.
The stench of dead men makes you flinch.

But if the dying whimper, pain
pricks you like courage, like delight.
The vein sings to the cruel brain.

What are you, man, that gun in hand
with savagery and pity go,
and face to face with madness stand;

and acid-drenched and poison-sprayed
see flame run lovely like a wake
from raiders; and the burning lake
shake overhead? You are afraid.

The shadow flickers on the wall
like morse, like gun-shot. Terror walks
the tall roofs where the snipers hawk.
He stalks you, man. And, man, you fall.

I Will Tell You Then
you looked at me
from the passenger seat
with so much love in your eyes
you started to speak
but my tears of sorrow
washed away your words

I knew you wanted to tell me then...

how much you loved me
and give your formal goodbye
until we meet again
in another space and time

but no words needed to be spoken
I just knew, I just knew...

remember when I called you up
and then couldn't talk
the only sound between us
the fatal ticking of the clock

I wanted to tell you then...

how sorry I was for all I had done
how badly I wanted a do over
but the words didn't come

I'll never forget the night
that changed our lives forever
darkness descended
the well ran dry
no more tears
no more tears left to cry

I wanted to tell you then...

I know you are hurting
I'm hurting too
please don't do this
we'll make it through
but no words came
and I lost you
tell me where did you go
I lost you...

when I'm dead and gone
will these words be
all that are left of me
a written legacy
my final ministry
