Life may seem unfair sometimes.
The angel turns heaven into hell;
The sky is the color of crimson blood;
And in between our heartbeats,
And between our cigarette smoke,
The demons tug and pull us away,
Fighting off anyone who touches them.


A shine of orange from the graveyard,
Turning hearts into stones,
And minds, souls, and bodies into waters.
Dying babies, lying on the lawn,
Waiting to be dumped into trash containers;
And the mysterious knight canter along,
Leaving this place to collapse without help.


A wave of sadness promptly crashes into us.
