 Qurbaton mein bhi judai ke jamane maange
 Dil to bewajhe ke rone ke bahane maange

 Hum na hote to kisi aur ke charche hote
 Halkate-shahar to kahne ko fasane maange
 
 Yehi dil tha ki tarasta tha marasim ke liye
 Ab yehi tarke-talluk ke bahane maange
 
 Apna ye haal ki jee har chuke luut bhi chuke
 Aur muhhabat wohi andaj purane maange

 Dil kisi haal pe aane hi nahi jane " faraj"
 Mil gaye tum bhi to, kya aur naa jane maange,

                                             " ahmad faraj"
