Bahak rahee hai baad-e-nisf-shab#, chaley aaou!
Abhee chalee hai baad-e-nisf-shab, chaley aaou!

Raaz kholeygee naheen koyee hamaaraa, jaanaan!
Bahut bhalee hai baad-e-nisf-shab, chaley aaou!

Samaa ko aaj itrayez kar rahaa hai kyaa?
Khulee kalee hai baad-e-nisf-shab, chaley aaou!

Khushboo-e-wasl sey mahakaayegee badan apnaa;
Utaawalee hai baad-e-nisf-shab, chaley aaou!

Jahaan pai sharbat-e-kousar sey hawaa dhultee hai;
Waheen palee hai baad-e-nisf-shab, chaley aaou!

Samoom baad-e-tund* kaa, ‘abd’, sataayaa hoon;
Aaj badlee hai baad-e-nisf-shab, chaley aaou!

# Aadhee raat kee hawaa;
* Tez garm hawaa, Tez loo-jaisee hawaa;
