Bahut roye hum, tujhe dil se juda karte hue
Nam aankhoN se, tere liye dua karte hue

Tanha shab bhar, karwateiN badalte rahe
Apne hi zakhmoN ki, dawa karte hue

Kaise mumkin tha ki, dhuaaN bhi na aaye
Mere jalte hue dil ko, hawa karte hue

Koi na jaane anjam, meri raah-e-ulfat ka
Toot chuke hai hum, tujhse wafa karte hue

KushiyoN ke lamho ko, udhaar lekar "Aqsh"
Zindagi guzar di humne, kisten ada karte hue

karke   waade   nibhaane   kaa   saath   umra  bhar
wo  humein  tohfe   me   bas   apni  yaad de gayaa

jinke   saath   sapno   ka    mahal   banaayaa  thaa
wo   humein   ek   tuti   huyi  buniyaad   de  gayaa

samajh  rahe   the  hum  apne  bandhan  to atoot
aur  wo  humein  bikhre  huye  jazbaat  de   gayaa

unke  aane  se  saare  rishte  tod   diye the humne
wo  humein  tanhaa  har  ek din aur raat de gayaa

jinke aansuon ko moti kehte rahe hum  umra bhar
woh humein aansuon ki haseen saugaat de  gayaa
